Apartment Building designed on an empty lot in Setagaya City, Tokyo, Japan for FAITH design.

The idea was to design an apartment building on an existing lot that could house luxury apartments. Because of the restrictions on the plot, we had to maximize the space as much as possible. In order to do this, a “coiling snake” design was used to maximize usable area while also keeping a minimum of circulation space to the living units.

By doing this, each living quarter had its own cross ventilation and light entries without sacrificing privacy.}
